About The Author - Dave Rochlin

Dave Rochlin is a long-time technology executive, author, and consultant, with a background in product innovation, information services, networking, consumer technology, and enterprise software across a number of firms and industries. He has degrees from the Haas School at UC Berkeley, and The Kellogg School at Northwestern University, where he graduated Beta Gamma Sigma.

Dave developed and teaches the e-business and technology strategy course for the executive MBA program in the St. Mary's College of California Graduate School of Business, where he has been a part-time faculty member since 2001. He has also developed and conducted advanced e-business and e-commerce certification courses in the United States, Europe and the Middle East, and has been quoted on or written about technology related issues for a number of industry leading publications.

He has 20 years of general management, marketing, and business development experience including 10 years in consumer and information products, and the last 10 spent focusing on Internet and other technology related businesses. His experience inlcudes everything from biotechnology business development, to  big six consulting on supply chain issues,  to executive leadership roles in software and ecommerce businesses.

Dave also runs The Emacula Group, a strategy and marketing consulting practice focused on helping senior executives in both well established firms and start up environments design more effective web related strategies, re-tool business models and product roadmaps, and find new sources of revenue.

First and foremost, however, Dave has a fascination with all things new. This fascination has lead him to explore why innovative technology creates breakthroughs in some cases and for some companies, and in other cases does not. The results of this exploration and of his work in both the classroom and the business world are captured in Hunter or Hunted.  He can be found on-line at www.emacula.com .
